It doesn't matter what you decide, long short curly or straight, as long as it is your own choice and makes you feel happy :-)
There's also an invention called the "splitender". Its a smart do it yourself device which only cut the very ends of your hair. It's on Youtube somewhere.

i hate getting my hair trimmed when im trying to grow it...it just reaches my waist but im so split that i need to get it cut to my elbows and it takes ages to grow!!!

mine says i look nice with long hair but im just year 8 but i'll cut it soon anyway. i just wanted to grow my hair past my waist and its nereley there, and when its been like that for a while i'll cut it to shoulder length or something :S

If anyone (even barbers) tells you you are lazy, oldfashioned or boring for having long hair, tell them to GO FUCK THEMSELVES.
Who are they to INSULT YOU, for mostly they do this to serve their own selfish interest, instead of yours.

LOL Give me "old and tired" anytime, like my wife's LONG hair! You sound as if you cut yours. That's fine with me. "Silky, sexy and mesmerising" describing long hair is more like it. "Honeymoon chops" *are* common, often to the new husband's chagrin. I love long tresses, down or up!
