Storm Chaser Hit By Quinter KS Wedge Tornado

STORM CHASER HIT BY A WEDGE

Weather Paparazzi, Doug Kiesling was hit by the outer reaches of a WEDGE TORNADO just north of Quinter Kansas on 05/23/2008.

Footage from dash camera while chasing one tornado, a massive mile wide wedge tornado forms and passes less then 100 yards right in front of the suv. Video shows the power poles being ripped apart and power lines falling on the SUV.

The monologue in this video makes up for all the stupid yelling typical of so many chase videos. Absolute silence for most of the time, with a simple, "I'm about to get hit by a fucking wedge."  CLASSIC!

@TFZ14 Not too bad. Just dirty with a lot of tumbleweeds stuck under the truck. It did short out the cooling fan relay but other then that, it was fine.

@lionsforlyons I was driving north out of Quinter. I did stop before the video started (its in the raw footage) and looked to see if anything was to my west and it was not until the wedge formed and I got out of the way in time.
