I know this is an old video, but just wanted to say this is a brilliant machine, although it does take some getting used to. But that is why I like it, I can adjust it to be very sensitive and still tell me if something is iron. It will find very small celtic coins if set up right.

Worse recovery speed than the Minelab Sovereign? Whites may be slow machines in general, but they aren't THAT slow. The Sovereign has a ton of redeeming features to make up for its lack of speed... the Whites does not. Oh, unless you want to scroll through a million menu items and make 1000 adjustments per site.

Love the negs about the XLT coming from ppl that have either never owned one or do not have the brain capacity to learn how to control it.
For starters, the recovery speed IS ADJUSTABLE. with the press of a key you can have recovery speed adjusted to your liking. Thats the beauty of the XLT, you can customise it to how YOU want it. I have owned mine for over 10yrs, its paid for itself many times over. LEARN TO USE IT and you will be surprised what it can do.

@skullmonk3y The whole idea of these videos was to demonstrate the DIFFERENCE between different detectors, there is no doubt you can adjust recovery speed but at the end of the day some machines are faster than others despite what you adjust.
