Hi how are you doing? I want to know if this video can help me with the problem with my 1999 Yokun which is a GMT400. Before Yukons were design in 1999 which they becaome rounder.

@1aauto Thanks for your reply! I went over the problem, and it turned out that the alternator I purchased was faulty. I returned it to the Autozone (they tested it and stated that it passed)...but, I still requested a replacement. They were helpful and gave me a replacement. I installed it, and everything worked just right. Thank You.

@Sucio16 If your using the heat, or the AC and it dips.This does tend to happen on many vehicles because there is a great amount of draw on the system. If your just at an idle with nothing on such as the headlights, heat or AC and it tends to fluctuate then there may be an issue with the alternator.

Thanks for the Video! It helped very much. However, just a question, hope you can help. After installing the new Alternator, my battery voltage fluctuates from 14 to 12 Amps. Wondering if you have a clue as to what is wrong. (Or, anyone who reads this, and knows, please reply.). Thanks!

Great video. I have two things to mention. 1. At approximately 5:34 in, you will notice that a single bolt is inserted as a starting point. This is a huge help. I battled mine for almost 3 hours by not noticing that tid bit. 2. For a diesel disconnect BOTH negative battery cables.
