no, it is true ive tried it. it works better if tou use a blowtorch. hold it there for a minute and the ipod will be charged at half. wat it does is heat the metal up so fast that it sends off alot of energy at once, casuing an electrical current, thus charging our ipod. try it!!
btw it does not work with a lighter, only a powerful blowtorch... be careful =]

Hm... I use the onion all the time when i go hiking. Ive had an i-pod for two years and i thought it was common knowledge. But you have to give the gatorade to your dog, fuck him, swallow the chord and put the onion up ur anus to make it work. If you dont have a onion, try using a basketball.
