TSN Reports Return Of The NHL To Winnipeg Season Ticket Drive By TNSE

Five weeks after NHL commissioner Gary Bettman visited Glendale to declare "time is running out", there is still no deal apparent to keep the Coyotes in Arizona.

Now a report in the Winnipeg Free Press states True North, the potential ownership group in Winnipeg, will soon unveil a season ticket campaign to gauge support for an NHL franchise.

A resounding response could boost the city's chances of getting the Coyotes to move back to Winnipeg. However, a poor response could damage True North's chances of bringing the Jets home.

"There is nothing in the constitution on this," NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly told the Free Press in an e-mail on Thursday. "Certainly, one of the things the board has to have satisfied is that the market is capable of supporting an NHL team at NHL prices. But that can be done in a variety of ways, depending on the market. There is no one 'cookie cutter' approach here."

The NHL bought the Coyotes out of bankruptcy in 2009 and has been trying to sell it ever since.

@DNeufeld24 It was on right before I went to bed and in the AM, it was posted on TSN under the latest Jets news. I am thinking it was cut out I guess of the AM new loop but, was on the site within a few hours of it originally airing. You getting tickets? Hope so......

@XLearnyourabcsX Actually, Katz never said he personally would create a poll however; he had a team name in mind ( which he did not disclose ) that he would submit if a poll was ever put out by TNSE.

we sold out of season tickets officially in 18 minutes, they gave us a two week deadline. for the next five years there will only be about 550 walk up tickets for each game, me and my buddies had 10 computers going for seasons tix, only 1 got through haha. they said we couldn't pull it off. i can't wait for the first game, we're gonna boo bettman of the ice.

This is wicked the Jets actually have a chance of coming back ive been keeping up with all the news posted on youtube and man if i was in Winnipeg i would so buy some tickets but im stuck in Vancouver (i was born in Winnipeg though :D)
