I agree that being ill-natured toward other people can cause problems, but since when did we establish that Christian scriptures are the yardstick by which to measure the success of U.S. politics?

Turning his back on God? Does it not say in the book you speak of, Revelations, that BILLIONS of people would be deceived by the anti-Christ? Exactly where is that happening at? America, that's where. And doesn't the anti-Christ bring world peace through war much like Bush is trying to do? How arrogant of us to think we are on the winning side of anything, when we should be worried about going straight to hell for being so ill natured towards other humans.
