This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie, when Barbra meets Ryan at the drugstore. He goes there to buy some aspirin for his fiancee "Eunice" (Madeline Kahn).

  • The only film I love Barbra Streisand in. Not a fan of her Movies. Since the title of the movie is "What's up Doc?" This Drug store scene where she stands and sees him then everywhere he looks in the drugstore and her antics remind me of how Bugs Bunny acted.. LOL

  • i love this. and at this very moment am realizing there would be no "what's up doc" without "bringing up baby."

  • image paying $67.45 for a simple radio, and this is in the early 70's we forget how expensive electronics use to be.

  • this movie is HILARIOUS !

Babs did a STELLAR job in this , hysterical ! :-)

  • You call this a honeymoon?!

  • @allbrazilian I think you're right. This moveie is indeed ageless. Ryan was in the TV series "Peyton Place", but as far as I know, his first film was "Love Story". Did you see him in "Barry Lyndon"?

  • @coralarch it's more like she dismisses it as something minor or way too far in the past. Movies never age, and this one was anything but minor... Ryan had just became the world's sweetheart, I think it's his first movie after Love Story.

  • @allbrazilian Is that right- she doesn't remember her own films? Wow!

  • @coralarch I saw the making of with her comments and I was surprised to find that she hardly even remebers a movie with so many fans.

  • @7tosha9 Thanks! No, have not seen that one- but it rings a bell. Was Katharine Hepburn in it? You know what I find unbelievable? Barbra Streisand hates this film and doesn't think it's funny, yet she's utterly brilliant as Judy Maxwell. In fact,. the entire cast is perfect!. I agree about the formula- but it takes an extremely gifted director to bring this sort of looniness to high art.
