best comment on a capoeira video I read since a lot of weeks. a lot of people start comparing capoeira with other martial arts. they look for the better one of the two players like looking for the winner at karate, taekwondo, judo etc. but capoeira is something special. it isn't the same like asian martial arts.

Cabeçada form part of free capoeira play - what I saw is nothing exceptionnal- a good cabezada ? search for Mestre Moraes and you'll see !! The Pelourinho (in Bahia)is the best School of Mandinga not Suassuna (in SP) hahaaa !

Now I see where Poncianinho got his cabecada from...he hit me with one really similar to the first one he gets hit with in this video during my batizado game this weekend.
jdnorte - Poncininho is a Cordão de Ouro Mestre teaching down in London. He's regional by definition, but as the video proves, exceptionally versitile and very skilled.

I agree...capoeira chooses us...we are all but expressing ourselves...who is better is irrelevant.... it is the level of respect and spirit that defines this video...respectful mestres doing their thing...funny i didn't think a school owns capoeira...but merely is a tool of capoeira...you can take the belt, a schools name, the abada, everything physical but you cannot take capoeira from a person...

Capoeira is different for everyone, it should never be about one person being better than the other person. Capoeira never judges itself, why should we? Two highly respected Mestres showing the angoleiro spirit fantastic
