In 1997, at the hight of the BSE (Mad Cow Disease) crisis, we decided to help the poor people in the British meat industry by finding other uses for British beef. Our solution? The meat dress - which we took to pitch to the Meat & Livestock Commission in this film.
They can't have been very impressed because next day, when we came back, Thames Valley anti-terrorist squad jumped us in the carpark. Saddened, we put the design away - all our hopes of seeing meaty clothes dashed.
So imagine our joy to see Lady Gaga finally bringing our vision to life at the MTV awards thirteen years later. We knew that we were at the forefront of fashion, and just hope that Lady Gaga doesn't get too badly injured when Thames Valley Police jump HER in a carpark, which is inevitably going to happen at some point...
