Star Wars Transitions

A musical journey through the HORRIBLE transitions of the HORRIBLE Episode III.

For the sake of argument, I tried to count the number of transitions. I separated them into categories - Wipes, Fades, and Others. I may have missed some, but here's what I think I saw.

Wipes - 21
Fades - 1
Others - 20

Wipes - 21
I counted anything that involved just one wipe motion, whether it be diagonal, horizontal, vertical, pinwheel, as long as it was in one direction, I counted it as a wipe.

Fades - 1
Surprisingly, only 1 dissolve to black... that I noticed at least.

Others - 20
This category included all the crazy ones ... blinds, elevator-door-closing-wipe, windows-closing, and it also included the 5 looney-toon-esque circle-closing transitions that ended off this sweet movie.

Also, some of the "horrible" transitions you pointed out were used, skillfully, in the original trilogy, such as the side-wipe-fade and the diamond fade, as well as the basic dissolve. Some of these are very similar to these so i didn't get as pissed about them, but Blinds and Squares? Come on now, Mr. Lucas, you have more money than that

the author appears to be one of the loud minority. I watch the movie to be entertained, not to critique George Lucas's work, I liked the movie.
