  • So is this the oldest footage of the "Experience"??

  • Sometimes I ponder...was Jimi Hendrix part alien?

  • @danielltaylor Even more telling is that you never hear anyone get near to doing the drums for Hey Joe like Mitch does either. The drum grooves and the chops on that song are epic and the guy was only like 19!!

  • Jimi Hendrix, nos deixou um grande legado.

  • @danielltaylor Yeah, Mitch Mitchel is definitely severely underrated. Eern the Band of Gypsies versions of Fire aren't as good percusivel, because buddy Miles is clearly not as good a drummer as Mitch. Listen to the BBC 'Radio One, version if you haven't; the drumming is actually much better than the 'Are You Experienced?' verion.

  • First heard them perform June '67 from outside the Cafe Wha? in NYC. Tried, but couldn't get in (only 16). But they left the doors open and the sounds coming out onto the street and the scene on the street was so amazing.

  • i think 18.3.1967 is actually march 18th

  • THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE
