1 deck for the price of 2. Plus the footings are inadequate. stringers for the risers would have been just as effective for one third of cost.

stringers on the steps would have been faster and better and still strong without all that excess wood.

the framing was way to extreem, i know its solid as a rock, but it will still rot faster, i would have used all 2x10 or 2x12, zero bounce, also i didn't like the footing, you should have builder tubes 6" above grade and 4 feet below depends on where you are, other than that great job

yea, thers a shitload of cross bracing on the bearers, probably differnt building codes and restricitons to us in New Zealand though. Great finish though and the steps are a novel design, and they work too!
