Chicken Soup for the Soul Author Jack Canfield talks to Kaplan University students about the keys to success and setting up an education support team to meet your goals. Continuing education takes hard work and discipline; if you have trouble keeping promises to yourself, an education network can help you stay motivated.
The importance of education doesn't stop at a higher salary. Facing challenges daily helps to develop indispensible social and life skills. Canfield advises Kaplan University students to use friends, family, professors, and people in the community as mentors, thus encouraging education teamwork in everyday life. Too often we deny ourselves great opportunities for forward motion in life because of fear of rejection. Canfield believes that asking is the most obvious yet neglected way to get what you need. The encompassing theme of this video is building relationships. By doing so, we can become successful both in life and in our careers. Support-based relationships positively impact everyone involved when applied in an education-based setting.

I clicked on this video to watch it NOT because of Kaplan University (I already have my undergraduate degree and an MBA ), but because I wanted to hear what JACK CANFIELD had to say. This man openly shares wisdom which you can apply to the self-improvement process of your own life. (Nevermind Kaplan.)
Once again, Jack delivers. Time well-spent.

Often times, our families are the key to making us move in the right direction. There are a select group of people out there that have what it takes to do what is necessary despite a lack of support. I've always thought myself to be one of those people. However, recently pursuing my Master's degree I have had the support of my wife and children and the experience has been so much different. Easier in more ways than one. I agree with the profound words spoken in the video. Create a support system
