Sounds like me on guns, one thing i'm unsure of. If affirmative action has any purpose, it would likely be better fulfilled by basing it on class rather than race or gender. AA of any stripe puts less qualified people in positions of power. It also gives racists something to hate black folk over. I'd prefer social programmers helping to alleviate poverty and educate the poor (if blacks tend to be poor this would help them), so they're actually qualified for the job not just put in on color.
