  • Thank you for answering. I'll looking for next ur challenge.

  • @sannyasou1 Thanks. It's been a while since I've posted a vid because I'm concentrating on my PhD, but I plan to graduate this Fall semester so hopefully I'll be able to start posting again soon!

  • there is water left inside the tail<water makes oil damageable.

on youtube I try to find nice tempura video, I think your one is the best .

  • @sannyasou1 That's correct. Just make sure there is no moisture left in the tail. If you dry it properly there should be no problem. I've never had an issue. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • @sannyasou1 I think you may be a little confused. Leaving the tail on can cause oil to pop if there is water left inside the tail. As I said before, make sure that the shrimp is completely dry before coating and cooking. I've never had a problem with oil exploding and I cook tempura often. Also, I worked in a Japanese restaurant for 4 years and they never removed the tail.

  • @sannyasou1 I can't open your link. But just to let you know I'm a chemist by profession. Frying the shrimp in general can lock in any dioxins that are in your shrimp. Cutting it won't change that. If you want to reduce dioxins, don't fry the shrimp at all. Dioxins are soluble in fat, therefore the best way to reduce it is to use cooking methods that drain fat (like grilling). However, shrimp are generally low in fat so there isn't much to drain. Could you please re-send the link.

    shrimp preparation.

    I just told honesty,please don't ・・・

  • @sannyasou1 If there are dioxins in the shrimp, cutting the shrimp will not change that. You will get that no matter what. And you will not get an explosion in the oil if you properly dried the shrimp before cooking.
