  • sora: yes, customization would be a key aspect of the game, since it would free to play and purchase of items would be how the game makes money. at this point we're trying to avoid customizations that destroy the skill-based driving mechanic. so they'd be related to the looks of your vehicle and player character.

  • chowb321: it IS online multiplayer. that's the point. there could be an offline practice mode, but that wouldn't be the core of the game.

  • cool, original mario kart style drifting!

the art style, while not wholy innovative, is the sweetest blend of Windwaker and Tekkon Kinkreet Anime style graphics that I've seen in realtime.

Too bad current gen iPhones can't handle BGs like that it'd be a well suited platform.

Camera, the const. same FoV, etc. could see some more work (burnout for inspiration)

Would indeed be cool to see damage models on characters!

Will users be able to paint decals(from a suitable colorpalette)?

  • Oh,It is good game!

  • This may very well give KartRider a run for its money seeing how KartRider for North America is halted. It's a runaway win if you get this out smoothly before Spring 09. There is a lot of hungry people looking for a PC based MMO racer.

As for the game's initial build and your ideas and options, they all look very promising.

  • hmm looks promising , it feels a bit stiff , yes its a work in progress im sure the finished one should look and feel a bit less stiff.

what i could recommend , since you are going with a cartoon style , you could add some stretch and squash in the characters , in the manner of cel damage this would improve the fluidity of the game.

The art is lovely keep it up!

  • looks really poor

  • Would there be any customisation elements?

  • I really like the art style.

  • looks like gorillaz mixed with grim concept and then put into a racer...hmm. Is there online multiplayer?
