Yasir & Jawad - REIDI GUL (English Subtitles)

A contemporary folk music group from Peshawar, having initially formed the band in 2008, Yasir Rehman and Jawad Iqbal added a third musician to the Y&J band in 2010, Abdul Wali Orakzai . With Yasir on the traditional instrument, the Rubaab, Jawad on Rhythm Guitar and Wali as lead vocalist, the band recently recorded a single, yet to be released with Zeeshan Parwez of Zeepar Studios.
Yasir Khan is a self-learned Rabab and guitar player. He has been playing Rabab for the last 7 years. In the beginning he use to play traditional Pushto music but his main influence was Psychedelic and Hard rock. His favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses, REM, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Metallica. His exposure to a variety of rock bands gives his Rabab music a unique touch.
Jawad Iqbal is a self-learned guitar (rhythm) player. He is also a backing-vocalist and song writer. He is more into Rock and Country music. His influences are Buffalo Springfield, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Dave Matthew Band, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young and Bob Dylan.
