All sharks attack first and then decide if they're gonna eat that something they attacked. I belive I heard in some documentary that some species are driven by the amount of fats... so, if you have some extra pounds like me stay away from them haha.

True, the Tiger sharks also go for the turtles over our snorkelers. (S. Maui, Hawaii)
Saw a huge turtle with its shoulder ripped off... many snorkelers in shallow water were right there watching an eagle ray at the time, in 4 to 5 feet of water.
A guy was bitten in the arse a few years ago, though... he was floating on his back in deep water, napping.
Don't play dead, out there.

One thing still that makes me skeptical is the fact that the shark would actually attack the weakest of the two, thus the sea turtle due to its size coz the surfer was way bigger...just a thought though
