I had one at 14 after a long trip, which can cause them. I had drains placed, got very sick and they just did a Z-plasty, so I lost have my crack in my butt, but also never had to go through what this guy is going through.

I have pilodinal cyst and it's been a year since they made incision and drained the pus so i'm fine now. Should i have that cyst removed anyway?

my son had one and he had surgery and antibotics a few times. its gone, but i was a real bad one. Dr said came from sitting on the bus seat edge with knees up on next seat a real common position to sit on a school bus. he is cured!

@PiloGuy82 how long did you have it before you had surgery on it? ive honestly had mine for a few years but i done have health insurance to cover it. its not as big as yours and i dont have pain, just some discomfort sometimes, but its not something i would want to have forever

There was a point in dealing with this that it hurt to sit down (prior to surgery). I also had a lot of trouble walking. In that perspective, it was worth having it. Who knows how much worse things would have gotten had I ignored the problem. So I guess all in all I would say it was worth it for me.
