Parents of children with serious illnesses want the best care available for their child—and will travel anywhere to find it. While Saint Joseph's Hospital's reputation for exceptional care was well-known, the 20+ children's specialty services available at its Children's Hospital—a hospital within a hospital—were less so. Perception among a percentage of parents in Saint Joseph's service area was that they needed to travel to Madison, Milwaukee or St. Paul/Minneapolis to find the expert services and physician specialties they sought. Our assignment: build on the hospital's existing reputation for excellence, and let parents know that Saint Joseph's Children's Hospital provided the same level of care available at any highly regarded, large, metropolitan children's hospital.
