"The Sanskrit word veda means knowledge, or to know, so in the broadest sense Vedas can signify any source of factual practical knowledge. More specifically, veda means Absolute Truth, or knowledge that is eternally true in all places, for all beings and in any condition of life. As a literary work, the Vedas are the sacred scriptures of the Vedic civilization, the oldest living spiritual tradition in the world

Also included within the Vedic literature are the Sūtras (books of concise philosophical statements), the Vedāṅgas (auxiliary sciences connected with Vedic study), and the Upavedas (sciences not directly related to Vedic study). The Sūtras include the Śrauta-sūtra, the Gṛha-sūtra, the Kalpa-sūtra, the Dharma-sūtra, the Śulva-sūtra, and most important, the Vedānta-sūtra. The six Vedāṅgas are Śikṣa (phonetics), Chandas (meter), Vyākāraṇa (grammar), Nirukta (etymology), Jyotiśa (astronomy), and Kalpa (ritual). Among the Upavedas are Āyur-veda (holistic medicine), Gāṇḍharva-veda (music and dance), Dhanur-veda (warfare), and Sthāpatya-veda (architecture).

The complete Vedic literature is thus tens of thousands of volumes—a huge library of transcendental literature, full of eternal Absolute Truth, written in very sophisticated Sanskrit poetry, completely consistent in style and content. A compendium far too vast and stylistically consistent to be written by any ordinary human being, they were compiled by the sage Vyāsadeva who is himself an empowered incarnation of God. The Vedic literature makes the Bible and Qu'ran, for all their value and importance, seem like small streams compared to an ocean. We find the same truths in all of them, but the Vedic explanations are far more complete and philosophically satisfying, because they are contained within a completely consistent literary context of transcendental philosophy and ontology.

The Vedas are the oldest and most complete spiritual culture on this planet. The Esoteric Teaching of the Vedas, which we humbly represent, is the highest philosophy you can find anywhere. It details our eternal relationship with God in many, many volumes of erudite philosophy expressed in exquisite Sanskrit poetry. This information is given in Srimad-Bhagavatam, Nectar of Devotion and Caitanya-caritamrta. So if you really want to understand this great Teaching, you have some reading and studying to do.

The difference between the Vedic tradition and other religions is that the Vedas explain everything very scientifically. For example, the Bible and other scriptures mention the soul, but do not define or describe him analytically. This information is found nowhere but the Vedas. Similarly, other scriptures and traditions mention love of God as the goal of spiritual life, but only the Vedic Esoteric Teaching describes love of God scientifically, and gives a step-by-step method so that you can actually attain the most exalted state of consciousness.

This video is very interesting (I am only about a quarter of the way through), but Holey Boat, it is sooo poorly constructed. The dialog is read deadpan or hammed up in the wrong places and the inflection reflects incomplete interp of the semantics. The deliberate "visual aids," as opposed to photos, are misleading. I will finish watching it -- and I appreciate the factual matter -- but I'd love to see it reassembled a bit more professionally.

@nrgshkl093 Have you done any research at all, besides being indian ? khusiyali made alot of mature points, based on easily available research and myth. The white skinned people got their colour from the arctic during the last ice age. To think that the white colour could be developed close to Africa is plain ignorant. Please educate yourself more, a good place to start is reading "The Arctic home of the Vedas" by Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Finnish mythologies, ie. "Bock Saga". Good luck.
