This find is because of my friend John. In his one of the videos he made a voltage transformer with the help of a Hammond 168-B Transformer to step down the voltage from 124 to around 115 so I got inspired by John and wanted to make one for myself.
When I went to buy the transformer, MAAN it was quite expensive and dropped my 'Project Voltage' immediately. I realized that well John drives a Mercedes E500 and I drive a Toyota Camry so he can afford the Transformer and not me!! LOL!
But then one day I found something on the internet to my liking and it was for just $7.Finally after a sleepless week it arrived from US. All excited I open the package and there it was....
Yes, this was a great find to solve the problem of playing my vintage radios on high voltage.
Now I can can be play the radio on 115 volts like John! LOL!!
Thanks John for the inspiration.
FYI: This is not an isolation transformer.
Thanks for watching!

  • OMG! That is a frigging bad ass transformer + meter. XD ** drool *drool. Keep posting!

  • @kg6tgr Thanks. This is very useful to operate 115 volts vintage tube radios. This way the transformers don't heat up.

  • A bargain is a good deal no matter what one buys. I bought my 2005 E500 for $18,500 (with trade) which was probably less than you bought your Toyota Camry for.

ACME is the same company that Wiley E. Coyote uses to help him not catch the Road Runner. I need to get me a 7 dollar ACME transformer too! Your radios will be a lot happier at 115V than 124V. Thank you for your nice video.

  • @Lockemeister Thanks John. Am I not improving in making videos? You know what while handling the camera I tend to forget what the hell I was yapping!! He-he!!

  • @mukerjea I have the same problem. It's sort of like walking and chewing gum at the same time. It's gets better as you practice more.
