Testing Gunfire with Jahshaka

I used a program called Jahshaka to make this.

I know, i know, the flashes suck. It wouldnt let me hold it to just one frame. If somebody could show me how that would be awesome.

there are two airsoft guns and one broken cap gun.

I am a first time video editor so only helpful comments.

Thanks to freddiew2 for the tutorial, but sorry for it turning out like it shouldnt.

@deapfriedgirls kind of a dick thing to say. i got free sounds, so thats why they sound bad, but focus on the audio/video alignment and the flare according to the shot. i downloaded a much better muzzle flash set, have yet to use.

Very good. I reckon if you want to improve, you need to do a little more work. Here are what I think you should try.

1) Make the flash 1 frame long, so roughly 1/24 of a second long

2) Give it some environmental interaction. If it's a flash, light needs to be cast on the wall and on your body

3) Try get a smoke asset to add at the same time as the flash. Filmriot made a free one to download at bi t.l y/ smoke asset (minus spaces) which is really useful

Keep on going, though. You have potential.

@Ultranerdguy I had trouble getting the shot to just one frame. Jahshaka was being dumb. I have since downloaded a better gunshot pack than this from detfilms. I was working on a re-do of this when jahshaka completely died on me. I'm currently passively learning how to use blender as the video editor.
