@umyafzal If only he continued and didn't retire after that. That was very foolish of him.
I don't judge him for that one fight, because the rest of his career was pure class and perfection. But I do judge him for quitting after the fight. He shouldn't have done that.
If he had an off-night or something, he should've come back and fought Morales or asked for a rematch. I think Barrera was the better fighter though. Its no shame losing to a fighter as great as Barrera though...

@truebeliever786 At the end of that fight during the press conference, he said he didn't box to the best of his ability. Also a fighter doesn't admit the truth and say stuff like hes not in the best condition or that his opponent is better. Saying things like that would give his opponents psychological advantage.
Personally I think he could have beaten Barrera. Naz accuracy was poor and wasn't connecting with his punches.

Crushing KO...

Yeah, but Naz did say he trained really hard for the fight. Type up: 'Little Prince, Big Fight', a documentary in which Naz says he was in his best condition in that fight.
No doubt, Naz was a great fighter who fought the champions and top contenders in his prime (i.e. age 21-25), like Steve Robinson and Daniel Alicea and he knocked them out cold. But I think Barrera had a style that was perfect against that of Naz's, especially in Naz's later career, since he was slower then.

@truebeliever786 In the fight, Barerra said that Naz's punching wasn't really that hard. I think that was because he had injections in his hands; Naz said that he couldn't feel if his hands were in fists or not. Also, he couldn't even do the flip on the rope.

I see what you mean. When it comes to slugging, Naz beats almost anyone, cause he's a natural slugger with his immense power, but when it comes to boxing, Barrera beat him. I think it'd be a narrower SD. I'm going to stick with that, but I still pick Barrera as the winner...
Yeah, Naz made Barrera really famous with that fight, just like Iron Mike Tyson made Buster Douglas really famous and Sonny Liston made Muhammad Ali really famous.
man naz was a cocky bastard... but he was very entertaining!! i miss him in boxing lol
