If you actually watched the whole video, he explains that he does fight back even with some of his friends as backup. He is not a coward, he just wants to stop fighting before there is bloodshed. The fact is that the school system won't stop the bullies so what other options did he have? And by the way, "non lethal weapons like baseball bats" NON LETHAL!!!! Do you even know what a baseball bat can do to someone's spine (let alone their head.) I think your view of reality a little askew.
@DaSticksanStonesClub The video bullied boy battles back is about a very cowardess act. Going to the courts to make it stop. In order to make it stop you need to take matters into your own hands. I am not talking about guns or knives but non lethal weapons like baseball bats or golf clubs.
@DaSticksanStonesClub I don't feel sympathy for parents who have to make their kids go to public school because you can recieve a fantastic education their. I know this because I went to public school and now i'm a doctor. The reason bullies aren't severly punished at school is because bullies are smarter than you think. Most of the time bullies do there bullying on the internet or in person when school is over so they can get away with it.
@sjm8890 (continued) The problem is that victims aren't protected. They can tell an adult about it but there's no guarantee the bully won't come back vengeful later. Schools don't give any protection against bullying. It causes unforgivable damage in the victims and even drives many towards suicide which I'm sure you know. There's a video I want you to watch: Bullied boy battles back. If you still have no sympathy for the victims after this then I'll have nothing left to say.
@sjm8890 Mace and guns are good options. If you are an adult. Last time I checked children were not allowed to carry weapons of any kind onto school grounds. And ironically if they are caught doing so they are severely punished. It amazes me the same isn't done for bullying. Not that I support carrying knives or guns onto school grounds. That's out of the question. But I do think that non lethal options should be available for those who feel threatened in any part of society.
@sjm8890 (Continued) But most parents usually don't see it. They only see teaching kids how to fight. I would think you would have sympathy for kids who are forced into public school with no way of knowing what to do in that scenario. I also think home school is a great idea because frankly public education is mediocre at best. But I think you would be sympathetic to those who are forced into that system by their circumstance. The fact that you don't is the reason I'm not liking you very much.
@DaSticksanStonesClub Well a can of mace can handle ten thugs. On my way to work I have to go through some really bad neighborhoods and I always carry a can of mace and a gun in case my car breaks down in one of the bad neighborhoods.
