My logitech Z-5300e's and Z-5500's connected together and you'll notice how the Z-5300 can move more air but the Z-5500 will play louder and deeper notes. Both systems have the volume set at 1/4 and the sub at 1/2.

actually the z5300e has a slightly smaller port, which makes it look like its moving more air.

No, its an internal dual chambered sub.
