This was a day jump with full equipment, and i know I probably could have gotten myself killed messing around with a video camera rather than paying attention to what I was supposed to be doing ...but I just had to tape it (Back then) so everyone at home could get an idea of what it was like ....Now-a-days with digital camera..filming something like this is much easier ...back then I had to smuggle the camera because they were not allowed on the planes....In this serise of two videos, my intentions were to show the whole process....and I remember well..this was a bumpy flight and everyone was sick by the time we got to jump...Everyone raise their hand who ever got air sickness in the plane then threw-up in your chute on the way down?...I did it a few times...it was from being crammed into the birds like sardines and not being able to move......lol

  • (watch?v=PtYzwbBAQNE)

  • Here is another jump from a Chinook at Fort Campbell (August 2007) taken from another guy...I am the guy in front of the dude filming ..you can totally see my shitty exit ..lol

  • Now a days, everyone jumps with a camera....

  • It was only one of very few daytime jumps ..its funny because I specifically ran out and spent a bunch of money on a camera just for the perpose of taking it out the plane with me. As you can see whe I left the bird, the force was just too great for the camera to handle there for a few seconds.....Its kind ov vague, but I definately remember hitting the ground real hard. I had to put tape on the light of the camera to keep the jumpmaster from seeing the red light.Cameras were forbiden back then.

  • Was gonna say, you dropped that equipment early, but then you are on the ground looking up at a guy still 2-300 ft in the air. Too funny! You musta dropped like a lawn dart.

Excellent camera work. I've done some airborne movies myself, but just can't get good angles. Good work there.

BTW, check out my Cambodia jump on my page.
