Squidgies Round 2 - BIG Bream

Here you'll witness Kevin Attard of Team BIG, catch this monster 1.399kg (39.5cm) Georges River Bream during Round 2 of the Squidgies Bream Challenge and subsequently takes out the "BIG Bream" for the day. (BTW ... at 1.20, watch the top of the screen & see the bream dart back & forth around the post ... awesome stuff ! )

i think he measured the fork length...

That is a decent fish but its not HUge.... The breams in the boat and he still says

"i reckon u got a big bream" Bwahahaha

@adawg123321 ... correct he did measure the fork length. This is what is done in competition. The comment about BIG BREAM is what the competition was for ... getting the big bream of the day & he did. It was a decent bream for that area, tiny for others, it's all relative. This footage was taken in 2007 & Kevin has since beaten his record in a comp.

its funny ive been fishing for years and am a HUGE fan of soft plastics, but id NEVER caught a fish on one before... so when i went upto to merimbula for a holiday last week my goal was to catch a fish on a plastic, i was using squidgy fish for flatties tailor snapper etc. i caught more fish on the 1 style of plastic than my dad and brother both did using, bait, hard bodies, poppers etc. i was stoked.. :D

my biggest is 45cm and me and my mates got 5 that day and they fight like crazy and you can finally tell its a bream they are one of the hardest fish to catch and when catch them you get flathead as a bye catch
