We got married in September and it was 105 degrees. I think November is much better.

I am planning to have a destination wedding next year...what time of year did your wedding take place... it looks beautiful.
any advise....I am thinking of having it at a dreams resort.

We got married on Sept. 1st, 2007. Our wedding at Dreams was perfect. We had about 40 guests and friends there for 5 days and everyone had an awesome time at the resort. They have daily activities in which they involve all the guests and it is pretty much fun from beginning to end. We got married under the gazebo. It was great because we did not have to deal with sand or beach, even though the beach was a few steps from the gazebo....

... The day of the wedding it was 105 degrees, right up until the end of the reception. We let our guests dress semi-casual because of it, and our wedding party wore light clothes—white, open-collared shirts and khakis for the men, and bright, strapless dresses for the women. The reception was held next to the second hotel pool, so some of our guests got in the water during the reception because of the heat...

... The hotel has its own wedding planner on staff, and she set us up with the priest, the mariachi band and the DJ for the reception. Everything went pretty smooth. Yesica was our planner and she was great. We ran into no problems whatsoever. Our priest, John, was just fine too.
One thing we did that made a huge difference in my opinion is that we did not make use of any of the local Mexican photographers that were suggested to us by the hotel...
