The manipulator arm (the claw) can block any attack, you can also use the thrusters on the back of the ship to burn enemies.
Also for anyone saying this is cheat/hack, the ship doesn't flash white when you get hit if you have cheats.

@MagicCarpPower002 forget my last comment. The top he changes the claw to the top position to protect himself with it

@MagicCarpPower002 apparently the claw can resist weak bullets, but the top. I can't explain that to myself
