FUCK didn't have 6 hits. If so, name 'em. I remember 2. Oh, and Ed's playing on 1984 makes his guitar work on ALL the Sammy lps sound like Neil Young. Roth may be a dick, but these guys suck without him. And to be fair, Roth sucks without them. Van Hagar is for Perrier drinking soccer moms and dads trying to pass a kidney stone while driving their Volvos. Roth era Van halen is about partying, fucking and going off the deep end. The Osmonds rock harder than Hagar for Christ sake.

@mikefont69 So what. None of 'em get played that much anymore on the radio unless it's your mom's adult soft rock station. VH didn't need #1's to get unlimited airplay on today's rock stations with Roth. You Hagar lovers are wasting your time trying to trump up that era of VH. If you like it, fine. But it ain't nothing like the Roth era! Michael jackson sold 40 million copies of Thriller. Does that make it the greatest record you ever heard in your life?

@RubHerSoul1FYI, F.U.C.K. officially had 5 hit singles...Poundcake went to #1, Runaround went to #1, Top of the World went to #1, Right Now went to #2, and The Dream Is Over went to #7. And the whole album went #1!!! F.U.C.K. was an excellent album! Both Roth and Hagar era's of VH were some of the best in rock ever!

@edzick917 Lighten up, Francis! First off DLR is a douche as a person. But on record w/ VH he is KING! And Sammy is surely a nice guy who I'd gladly buy a beer if I met him and ,yes I am fully aware of Montrose (Rock Candy, Bad Motor Scooter and all). And with Ronnie he was fine because it's second-tier rock music. But that's the point.  VH was top shelf with Roth, warts and all. BTW, they suck now even with Roth back in the fold. But Vh '77-'84 is the only Vh that matters!

Liked Sammy Hagar on his own...got used to VanHagar and dug some of it but just plain prefer the older tunes and the energy of the original lineup especially on stage.I'm glad DLR is back but the sound is begging for Michael Anthony and the performance is...well...picture an NBA game played by all the greats from '78. Just not what it once was. Dave IS singing more coherently live these days than he did back in the day and I definitely appreciate having 75% of VH anyway.
