BOZ and WHYTE the ULTIMATE MORRISSEY TRIBUTE BAND WHY?THEY ARE PART OF MORRISSEY'S SOUL IN PART AND IN WHOLE.
-
Alain Whyte was indeed to blame for the success of the Mozzer. Everything he wrote (except America is not the world) was great.
-
This is the greatest thing in the world

To me, the definitive band backing Morrissey were Whyte, Boorer and Day. Drummers sort of came and went. Perhaps Spencer Cobrin.

@66trooper99 ... The Smiths you cant ever replace, but for someone who has seen The Smiths live and been to every Morrissey concert in Calif, Alain Whyte deserves full respect I met Both Mr Marr and Mr Whyte and there both class acts..two seperate individuals with so much talents it's disgusting lol wish I had that much talemts in one finger.

I'll echo many of the other comments here about Alain's departure being a big blow to Morrissey's sound. Not only did he write some beautiful melodies (this song, America Is Not The World, and Trouble Loves Me being among the best IMO), but he just seemed to "get" Morrissey's persona better. Not that I know anything about how they actually got on (if at all), but Alain seemed like more of a sensitive songwriter than Jesse Tobias. I wish he hadn't split.
