LOL, i always argue with my friends because i do not want their children to believe in santa clause... I totally agree with you, just tell children the truth and do not make believe because children will think lying to each other is necesarry in this world in order to make a lot of profit...

Yes, it's very sad if you see how they try to tell little boys to play with GI Joe and kill as many people as possible...

If you think that all the military is for is war, you are wrong. I urge you to watch that video and see how the service member reacts with the Iraqi boy. Think about who helped the victims of Katrina. That was not an NBC news helicopter rescuing those stranded.

Thats the point I want to make.

Hey I'm with you. I think most of the people in the military are doing great jobs and a lot of them are in bc they want to help or are looking to better themselves in some way. I just don't like advertising of any kind being aimed at our kids. Kids should be taught what advertising is. Anyway I'm glad there's no hard feelings. I'm glad you posted a comment bc your point of view helped me see sides of the issue I didn't see at first. Peace ;o)

@articfront Your comment brings to mind an empowering phrase I heard at a seminar. "If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got. Discipline in life, is not the exclusive product of the military. Albeit it does have a positive impact on certain individuals, how simplistic a notion, to ascertain that the military should be a reparative instrument for failed parenting, because the erosion of a society is an interwoven dysfunction and parents only a part.

The video is not aimed at kids. Do you know anything about Kid Rock's demographic? Did you know this video is NOT played in G or PG movies? Do you know anything? I guess any stupid opinion with no proof or rationality is allowed on the web.

I would rather our youth get turned on to the military than to get caught up on the trash that is on television, the music and video games.

You turn on the T.V. and see programs like Wife Swap. Media outlets calling our President names. Promoting un-ethical decisions. The majority of children live in single family homes without morals and responsibilities. The military can teach them what the parents fail too.

I'm not sure if these countries want us interfering tho. It's like when a cop breaks up a domestic dispute and the wife breaks a bottle over the cops head even tho he's "protecting" her. So..
