Yamaha THR 5 Guitar Buzz Issue & Amp Review

One more news: according to some UK dealer on January '12 Yamaha will supply new EU power supply to solve this issue, pls in case you have some news for outside UK replacement campaign also please inform with comments here!

Hi, let have a look at the buzz issue of THR amp, I guess this is not normal but up to you to decide! I will ask dealer more info about this matter. Perhaps amp sound is quite good, and could much better if Yamaha will fix this (or reduce)!
Update: with humbukers situation looks better, buzzing is quite reduced.
Anyhow my suggest is to try it before buy!

You can hear that it's a power issue from the noise, it's not a 60cycle hum

HAHA it's a strat they all buzz. You should hear my strat in my marshall. When not playing you have to turn the volume off. :)

@lucaso777 on second investigation Yamaha has seen this happen repeatedly and rectified the problem with an upgraded power supply unit. Call Yamaha to get it replaced.

It's called single coils for a reason. They attract buzzing. Plug in a humbucker and see.
