On a couple of parts there is an occasional VHS distortion/drop outs, please excuse this!

  • The three cockney sailors are appalling.

  • Ha ha. The same goes for me.

  • Maybe it's because the musical portrays Goble here as a cowboy, when historically he was actually a Baptist preacher and missionary-therefore the portrayal of Goble in "Pacific Overtures" is out-of-date and inaccurate.

(By the way, I'm sort of a fan of Mako too. I first became aware of him as the voice of Aku in "Samurai Jack"! Ha ha.)

  • The part with Jonathan Goble gets left out of most modern productions of this play, which is such a shame. Mako was simply the greatest name in Asian-American acting.
