IHSC Dominican Republic 2006

International Health Service Collaborative is a distinguished organization that unites multiple disciplines under the common goal of addressing health care issues impacting our community locally and abroad. Our collaborative consists of graduate and professional students from the colleges of Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, and Physical Therapy, with indispensable support from the University of South Florida faculty and staff. We seek to incorporate valuable doctrines from each discipline to produce and execute sustainable solutions to current health inequities which abound in our communities near and far.

At the heart of our organization is an emphasis on health education and sustainable health projects. Health education equips and empowers communities to actively pursue a healthier lifestyle. We pursue health projects, in partnership with the Peace Corps, to alleviate pressing health concerns immediately-- yet remain sustainable for years to come. We seek to redress health disparities by uniting USF Health colleges to produce holistic and sustainable solutions that will continually impact the communities we serve.
