2009 Sacred Strings Showcase

The Amazing Grace Praise Band in conjunction with Sacred Strings Records presents the 2009 Sacred Strings Showcase. This concert features a unique collection of African American Steel Guitar Legends found only in the Church of the Living God. This 70 plus year music legacy began in the late 1930's with the late Willie Eason. This stellar performance took place in the Hilton Hotel Dana Conference Center located in Toledo, Ohio. Featuring: Calvin Cooke, Felton Williams, Bishop Henry Wayne White, Elder Maurice Ted Beard, Ned Mayes, Bishop Ronnie Hall and Bishop Clifford Warren who represented the Rhythm Guitar Legacy of the church. Also included in this awesome line up of African American steel guitar players are eight up and coming Jr. Legends of the tradition. ( Harold Smith, Nicolle Brown, Reggie Covington, Eric Russell, Robert Cook, Fran Grace, Duane Golden, Del Ray Grace and the Amazing Grace 'Sacred Strings" Praise Band. This concert took place August 15th 2009 in Toledo, Ohio at the Hilton Hotel. It was a very top shelf ordeal and will continue on a annual basis.
