Mad Wild Irish Boar

Wild Irish boar running free in Co Clare in the West of Ireland. Was lucky enough to catch the mother sow and her cute little piglets. Plenty of variety visible in their coats, and they are not to shy. I was able to get really close (close-ups visible later in video)

Black sow and mongrel piglets, definatley not true wild boar, curly tails, short snouts, and the spotted piglets say domestic rubbish

@8by57 You could well be right, but the information panels on site indicate they are a wild species. Perhaps they are a variant different from what you are used to.

@jono1798 This is in a heritage site called Craggaunowen; they are fenced in and definitely not for shooting. If we have any hogs running loose over here they are feral rather than wild...

feral pigs, most likely escapees from a pig farm. Whats the hunting laws on pigs in Ireland?. They breed like rabbits and are considered vermin in most countries. Tasty vermin though.
