The rear shock on the Genius is truly unique. Rather than controlling the rear suspension by compressing a piston into the shock body, the Genius Equalizer 2 extends when a force is applied to the rear wheel; its a pull shock. Co-developed with DT Swiss, the Equalizer 2 has three distinct modes, and you can choose your attitude from the bar-mounted Trac Loc system. Heading down youll likely want all 150 mills but you on the way up you may want to either lock things up or put it in Traction Mode with 95 mm of travel and each setting is available with a flick of your left thumb.

  • I own the Genius 60 which is bottom of the Range, i have to say this is a very Impressive bike. It has improved my mountain biking skills greatly, my hill climbing ability is now god like.(it wasn't before lol) The bike is also Super fast downhill. And it all weights in less than my Hardtail bike.

  • @xGreenRed Gravity???

  • SHOCK as a Mud Guard???

  • Did anyone else notice the flex in the rear triangle during "traction" mode?

  • why is everyone so fucking slow uphill?!

  • OMG.......... that bike gave me a booner!

  • How is the title of the music? That`s wonderful.

  • so the rear axle still moves up and down like all other rear suspension bikes

  • this is the perfect bike for moab slickrock trail. exactly what you need for moab is short travel on the climbs and long travelf or the downhills. untill now there haven't been that many long travel bikes that can be adjusted to short travel.

  • hey, the lever positions are inversed

  • @canadianroot

i have the '11 trance x and it is a freakin awesome tough bike. I beat the hell out of it and it still keeps me in the saddle. i blast trails all day from jump spot to jump spot and it does great climbing and descending. i even bmx ride it with the suspension locked out in cruiser class bmx racing. though it is heavy as hell compared to bmx bikes. i can launch it off of kickers and pull ten feet off the ground and huge gaps with it even tho its not really meant for it.
