"When you, who are a father figure, treat your opponents in a certain manner, lower-level officials display the kind of behavior that everyone knows about and everyone knows about what occurred in the prisons. I want to ask you something: why is nobody in this country daring to criticize you?
-
Are you thinking that you never make mistakes? Isn't this ignorance? You have been changed into a kind of inaccessible idol that nobody can criticize. I don't understand why everybody is forbidden to criticize your choice. The radio and television networks operate under you and you name the head of the broadcaster. Either the broadcaster is acting this way according to your orders or you are not overseeing it."

To The uploader:
Could you please include English Subtitle (since Youtube Player supports this function).
There is a lot of interest from the west regarding this event, and since this clip is number one on the search result, it would be helpfull if it had some sort of english sub/translation to broaden the issue

Hate seldom takes the time to distinguish one people from another. If you understood maybe you would no longer hate.
Hate cannot survive education.

I find it really amazing that whenever something truly positive happens, a moment that seems "impossible", there all always a few people who'll insist it was a set-up. The fact that he hasn't been arrested is supposed to be the proof but I don't see it that way at all. This was a spontaneous event and because it was intimate and nationally televised he was safer than being one anonymous person in a crowd throwing rocks. Vahidnia is a hero like the man who stood in front of the Tiananmen tank.
