My work mate and I have had our nespresso machines for ages, and I'm telling you, they are superb, the coffee is top notch, a million times better than Starbucks/costa rubbish. Restretto and arpeggio are the best, and romas are fantastic too, if you love strong coffee or espressos, GET ONE.
I've tried many a coffee, and many an espresso, and nespresso always comes put on top. Even Italians would and have agreed.

I honestly cannot understand on what grounds you disagree with me. the Nespresso uses a pressure much higher that that reccomended by any barista who is not playing with pressure profiling (a different thing), the coffee is stale and the max dose is about 7g well under the usual amount. It is thus chemically inferior and I am interested in how you mean to dispute. Don't just say its good. What specs of the Nespresso overcome these flaws and make it a "perfect" coffee?

@princessash1510 I don't think so. My nespresso pods are always perfect, and my machine does the brewing job perfectly.....try a stronger pod? (ristretto/arpeggio)

I beg you not to use a Nespresso. The pods are underdosed, the grounds are stale and the pressure is too high. Consequently the coffee ends up completely overextracted and you can not possibly produce a high quality espresso, that being an espresso with enough oils to give it body and flavour. I would recommend that instead you invest in a Cuadra espresso machine with a Mazzer grinder, Reg Barber tamp and some good quality, locally roasted coffee. If a Cuadra is to expensive try a Gaggia. Please

@tjwhitt Perhaps you've heard of Wikipedia, which tells idiots like you the following: "...While some Nespresso capsules are recycled, they are rarely, in practice. Nestle announces a current rate of 50% in Switzerland and Germany....and only 2% in France.[4] Also, Nespresso Pro capsules cannot be recycled (.e.g., made of a mixture of plastic & aluminum). This has led the World Wide Fund for Nature to state that "the most reasonable solution is still the purchase of bulk coffee".[18]
