Today I'm featuring the Dawson Precision Tool-less Guid Rod for the Springfield Armory TRP Operator Tactical Full & 3/4 Rail gun.

After doing some research into a different guide rod system, than the one that comes from the factory (pin, wire, hacked hex wrench, paper clip, required for disassembly) I emailed Dawson Precision about their product. It took them about 4 days to get it to me and all I can say is that it works as described.

This is a great product that makes the assembly/disassembly process of a weapon with the full length guide rod easy.

The setup that comes on a TRP Operator (railed) gun is a bull barrel with a full guide rod and a reverse plug (complete oposite of a GI 2 piece system). In order to transition to that system you will have to have a regular barrel fitted with a barrel bushing. That would be much more expensive than the $80 you pay for the Dawson system.
