  • "Who invented hockey? Russians?" loll

  • Apparently it was first played by some English people in Canada...

  • @SlotShot87 the original concept was actually created in England, but the Canadians solidified what we call hockey today.

  • lol is the guy @ the end who winks thornton!?

  • the guy never shuts up

  • lol reonicks like the sharks clown on the ice lol its just sad that this might have been his last season :-[

  • Well the game evolved from field hockey, which has been around for ages. The British I think brought field hockey to Canada while they colonized the land and during the winter they played on the ice since fields were covered in snow. So, it pretty much started in Canada, I think. I guess you can say either the British or Canadiens founded ice hockey.

  • Look into the famous game played at Victoria Park in Monteral, one of the captians actually set up some of the rules for the game. The IIHF has some info on it in it's site as well. But I think the game was invented more earlier then that, I know for sure it came from the N.S. But best of luck!
