  • While I do like the encouragements to squat/work out your legs, I don't usually squat. I do leg presses instead, because it's a lot better for me.

  • @Bartholamue Just out of curiosity, why are leg presses better for you?

  • @averagetoelite I just feel very uneasy about doing squats. I'm not saying they aren't beneficial, I just feel safer using the leg press machine.

  • @Bartholamue That is probably good judgement on your part. A lot of people wreck themselves with poor squat form. Search for Squat RX on youtube. Those videos may give you the confidence in your form to start squatting with the bar.

  • Great video Jordan. It would be interesting to hear what your "recommended" weekly diet would be. In this video you recommended us what not to eat, it would be nice to watch a video where you recommend us what to eat. I'm off to do my squats now. :)

  • @fishing691 I can just tell you because I'm pretty consistent in what I eat. Breakfast: 12-15 oz. sausage with some vegetables and/or avocado./ Lunch: Two meals form Paleo Brands/ Dinner: Pretty random but generally meat. I also consume about a gallon of milk throughout the day. Post workout if I'm eating food I plug in a bunch of sweet potatoes. That's pretty much it.

  • Thanks for this vid, man! I'm 5'11" at 160 lbs; my goal is to one day walk between 170 and 180. Here goes nothing . . .

  • Good point on the sleep. Work, family, and being a grad student, hard to get it all in during the day.

  • compound moves are the way forward :) squats are king.
