@lXBlackWolfXl "yes this looks like a proof-of-concept, but they apparently wanted it to go beyond that, and actually be something useful."
That's the entire point of a 'proof-of-concept'. You show that something is conceptually possible, and then refine it so that it is practically possible.

And they left no fingerprints behind.

@aquinoking777 Yet. Who knows, in the near future, robots can get books faster than you can, running or walking.
-
takes that long to grab that book?
people are getting really lazy now and days

@DarkProject on their website, they were talking about making 60 different robots for this' swarm, they also released several videos of their robots doing more practical things. their project was terminated btw, so this wont actually happen. yes this looks like a proof-of-concept, but they apparently wanted it to go beyond that, and actually be something useful.

@DrDoe1 It's obviously one of the triple volume versions, econimic xd

is there any reason why these things move so slowly? doesnt seem to be very practical. on another video, those same robots are shown pulling a child across the floor, which is apparently meant to show how they can be used in search and rescue. of course, it probably takes them half an hour, maybe a full hour to actually go about pulling the child.

Hey, robot, Go fetch me a soda.
I can make this from Lego!

@lXBlackWolfXl It's experimental technology, it's meant to show that it can be done, if researched properly.
Even your state of the art Iphone started with mere beeping and silence.
