schaeffer uses the term 'greek orthodox', so i'll defer to him

it is not proper to say "Greek" Orthodox. Read Wiki, it's Eastern Orthodox Catholic Church, or just EO, the Greek, Russian, Serbian, etc are national churches, similar to French Roman Catholic, Italian Roman Catholic, Mexican Roman Catholic, etc...the Diocese overlap in North America because of immigration and with the National Assembly of Bishops, with support from the Patriarchs, consolidation of the dioceses is in progress. So one national American Orthodox Church is on the horizon.

yes i have watched all the video footage, starting from when he decided to join the greek orthodox church....i still feel that he defines himself exclusively by what he is not.

if you listen to his earlier clips on why he moved away from the evangelical protestants you will see that he is not condemning his father at all.

frank so desperately wants progressivist approval...and yet he equally desperately wants structure, vis-a-vis his embrace of the highly patriarchal Greek Orthodoxy....it's one thing decide your beliefs for yourself, but to try to define yourself by saying essentially 'I'm not my crazy-ass father' and 'i'm an EX-evangelical' seems kind of backwards...Jesus defined himself as a Jew and never needed to repudiate his background, yet demonstrated his own unique character every time he spoke...

bush was unqualified to run the govt? hardly...i don't agree with bush's strategic decisions but obama's entire governmental infrastructure is basically recycled bush...i'm talking about the day-to-day operations of the federal govt, not the political decisions...
