It is surprising how many people miss the point of the story of Abraham and Isaac. God had told Abraham before Isaac was born that he would establish a covenant with Isaac, and for Isaac's children after him. So why did Abraham think God wanted him to literally sacrifice his son. This video takes a look at solving this mystery.

  • 2Ki 6:15-17 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us.....

And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

lol you misunderstood, i was explaining what fornication was in the bible, in the bible fornication has nothing to do with sex. it is spiritual fornication which is when religious people go to each other to know God, it is also adultery.

    it is what defiles God.

in other words. it is describing MAN MADE RELIGION.

I told you when you asked me "WHAT IS GOD" that it was spiritual fornication. that you were to go to God to know God, not come to me.

  • @TheFurthertruth I accept that in the bible religious tradition used this betrayal of God. in marriage vows between man and woman.but the origin of fornication, and adultery had nothing to do with sex, it was betrayal of God.

  • @aaugoaa

So what are you trying to say? Are you saying God has no law against what we do.

  • @TheFurthertruth wherever you find corruption, there are laws.

  • Old smart guys (earning fortunes around THAT confusion... DON´T like this to be known).

    Yod-He-Waw-He OR Yod-He-Vav-He

Appeared YOd+WAw (YOWA or IOWA) and appeared YOd+VAv (YOVA or IOVA)

NOW... you know WHERE is written the name of Our Lord in USA (ahaa... didn´t know ?)

FROM... YOWA (or IOWA)... came the arrangement to... JE OWA or JEOVA ! Got it ?

Old smart guys... don´t want to "get it", you know !

  • I like that fire effect.

  • Ya I think youre right that going to the mountain means being closer to god. Jesus is always going to the mountain but maybe he didnt really go up in the mountains he just connected with god. Ancient people saw god as being away from earth toward the heavens.

  • In light of those other scriptures it makes sense that it was never meant for Abraham to kill his son and that it was put in the bible to remind us not to make Abraham's mistake. What else would it be except a story of faith?

  • Ok I got a lot of thoughts from this. I like this examination, it makes sense to me. I like that idea of sacrificing the animal within to become closer to God. Maybe when we think God has turned away from us we are really turning from him without realizing it. God can't be in an unclean receptacle. So if we are animalistic we will be farther from God.

  • Thank you for making!

  • @aaugoaa

Yes, the laws of the land, but what about the laws of God, that was sent down to us?
