ok now my buttons work, but i still got the air circulation problem.. and its increadibly anoying!! anyone got a solution for this?

Hey, i got some questions for you, i have a 96 bmw 540ia, the former owner has changed the wheel, how can i solve the air circulation problem?,? and also have you found out how to get the buttons on the left to work?? i know that the solution is taking one of the wires from the steering wheel and connect it to the ibus, by passing the multifunction modul which isnt in the later models, but i dont know which wire it is... there was a video here on youtube, but is no longer availeble..

how r u sure that the airbag is going to work?
i'm 16 and my dad and i are going to be doing this same thing to my 323i.
can u do a video on that nav system too? i want to save up for it but i dont know much about it.
oh, and how bout the volume? is that going to happen with me or was that just an accidental mistake by you?

Hey dont you noticed when you swapped the wheel, it is something bad with air circulation button, it always turns on and turns off when it wants...

@Grum154 yes, when the wheel was installed in the 1995 e38 it had a sporadic air circulation control, in the 1999 it worked great.

yes the airbag will work, the car was scanned with GT1 and showed no SRS faults. Nav volume was in relation to the production date of the car, and different systems used between the years.

We don't have manual gearbox in the US e38's. It was only avail in Europe
