  • super solo

  • @triforcenerd You are so right!! But a good second best, even better than The Ventures

  • The most famous versions of this tune in Japan are The Ventures and Japan's own Takeshi Terauchi & Blue Jeans. Unfortunately Ricky King is totally unknown here in Japan, but I have got three of his albums including "Mare".

  • @beerdeddi Richtig.

  • @Fussinated no probs friend. Ricky was pretty popular for a guitarist, but you're right, I've seen better. I wasn't born back then hehe. To be honest, you're a lucky person. I love many things about the 70s.

  • @chamath1985 Actually to be honest my reaction was not to you but to myself. I listened him in the beginning of 70's thinking that I found a good musician to listen to I was young of course. And a few years later when I discovered the real musicians (I like instrmental creativity) I got frustrated. I reflected this upon you almost instinctively. My apologies.

  • @Fussinated well, buddy I never said that he's the best. He's ok and that's it. But his standard is not enough for world music level but he was just ok.

  • @chamath1985 Good for his time? When Tony Iaomi was playing for black Sabbath, Al di Meola released Electric Randezvues, Rudolp Schenker played a solo in concert straight and reverse handed, not even a decade later Paco De Lucia rocked the world with "Entre Dos Aguos" well he was OK for light listening maybe but definitely not good.
